Jessica Grinspan

M.S., Research and Outreach Director

Jessica Grinspan, M.S., has an extensive background in public health and clinical research. She currently serves as Research and Communications Lead for Just Equity for Health, working with Dr. Safo. Previously, Jessica served as a researcher at Oxford Outcomes (now ICON PLC), focusing on patient-reported outcomes in the context of clinical trials. During her tenure at Oxford, she specialized in patient preference studies and published conference abstracts and manuscripts in a wide range of disease areas. She has expertise in performing literature reviews, designing surveys, conducting interviews and focus groups, and performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Stricken by the profound link between physical, mental, and social health, Jessica also pursued her graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling and spent three years helping to secure services for clients from underserved communities in Philadelphia. It was during this work that Jessica observed how clients who were more civically and socially engaged achieved better outcomes across the board. Inspired to spark civic engagement in her own community, Jessica launched her Propel the Vote campaign before the 2020 presidential election, in which she ran every single street in her borough to get out the vote. Jessica has also served as a Montgomery County, PA, poll worker for the last five years.

Why I’m Here:

Jessica is passionate about supporting non-profit medical organizations.  As Director of Social Media & Outreach, she hopes to cultivate a positive impact on voting and health through digital outreach and health communications.
